Thanks for visiting our 2012 campaign website.
I am a common sense conservative Republican running for State Representative in House District 68, currently held by retiring incumbent Rick Hardcastle—who has done an outstanding job speaking out for rural Texans in Austin.
Water, jobs, & schools are at the top of my campaign platform.
As a lifelong rancher and businessman in Throckmorton, Texas, with bachelors and masters degrees in Economics and Politics, I am well qualified to meet the demands faced by rural Texas at our state’s capitol.
I am past National President of the Future Farmers of America, regional director of the Texas Forts Trail, and former member of the Brazos River Authority. I have also served as an Agricultural Advisor to the U.S. Military in Iraq, to the United Nations in Africa and Chairman of the USDA Beginning Farmers and Ranchers Committee.
Rural Texas, however, is my passion. Five years ago, I founded an organization and raised over five million dollars in my hometown for beautification and economic development purposes. We have torn down 45 blighted houses, crushed 150 cars, rebuilt the city swimming pool and rebuilt crumbling infrastructure downtown. I want to see all rural communities thrive, and I am committed to that action.
My expanded background and stand on the issues are presented on this website. Please email, Facebook or call if you have any questions, comments or just want to visit.
I look forward to meeting you and would be honored to put a sign on your property and have your support.
